(Based on a typical 30 minute lesson)
(Based on a typical 30 minute lesson)
The 1:1 IELTS online lessons with the tutor via ZOOM will typically include the following lesson plan.
Welcome to TEFLOT! Here’s how our IELTS Speaking lessons help you improve step by step — at your own speed.
Each lesson is 30 minutes long.
Every lesson starts with a 10-minute warmer — a short chat where I share useful tips, including the PPP approach to speaking:
Get to the Point
Answer with Purpose
Include a Personal Experience
I’ll explain when to use all three PPP parts or just two, especially for Part 3 questions, to help your answers sound clear and strong.
Expanding your answers is exactly what examiners want to hear, and I’ll help you do this naturally.
You don’t have to do lessons in order or all at once. We work around what you need and your schedule.
Lesson 1: Part 1 – Easy Questions About You
We practice simple questions like “Where do you live?” or “What do you like to do?”
This helps you speak clearly and with confidence.
You can repeat this lesson as many times as you want to get better.
Lesson 2: Part 2 – Talk for 1–2 Minutes
You learn how to speak about a topic for 1 or 2 minutes, with some time to prepare.
We work on organizing your ideas and speaking without stopping.
Lesson 3: Part 3 – Talk About Ideas and Opinions
These are harder questions where you explain your thoughts and give reasons.
This lesson helps you use better words and speak more smoothly.
Lesson 4 and More: Practice Tests
We practice the whole speaking test, just like the real exam.
These lessons help you feel ready and get feedback to improve.

Q: What happens in the IELTS speaking test?
A: The test is a live conversation with an examiner and has three parts:
1️⃣ Part 1 – Questions about you and your life
2️⃣ Part 2 – A short talk based on a topic card
3️⃣ Part 3 – A deeper discussion with opinion-based questions
My lessons help students understand the purpose of each part and how to respond effectively using linking words, examples, and structured ideas.
Q: Do all lessons include all 3 parts of the test?
A: Not usually. Most lessons focus on one or two parts to build skills step by step. Once you're confident, we do mock test sessions that cover all three parts.
Q: What score do I need in IELTS Speaking?
A: Many students aim for Band 6.0 to 7.5, depending on university or visa requirements. I help you target the exact band you need with strategies and feedback.
Q: How can I improve my score?
A: By practicing regularly, learning to use linking phrases, avoiding common mistakes, and building clear structures for your answers — all of which I cover in our lessons.
Q: Will your lessons help with everyday speaking too?
A: Yes! These lessons are great for both IELTS and general spoken English. You’ll become a more confident speaker in any situation — school, work, travel, or daily life.
Q: Can I take the test again if I don’t get the score I want?
A: Yes, and many students do. I help students prepare between tests and improve their score with targeted speaking practice.
Q: How are your lessons delivered?
A: Lessons are 30 minutes, one-to-one, and online. You'll get personalised attention, speaking practice, and expert feedback every time.
