The IELTS Listening test checks your ability to understand spoken English in different situations. Many students think Listening is easy,ย until they miss one small detail. Section 2 โ A monologue (e.g. a tour guide or public speech)

Here are some useful tips to do better in the Listening section:
Read the questions before the audio starts โ Know what to listen for.
Underline keywords โ It helps you stay focused.
Be careful with spelling โ Incorrect spelling = no mark.
Watch for distractors โ Sometimes the speaker changes their mind.
Stay calm if you miss an answer โ Move on and return later if you can.
Practice listening to different accents โ IELTS uses British, Australian, Canadian, etc.
๐ง Try listening to English podcasts or news for 10โ15 minutes every day.
