Here are some helpful tips I give to my students:
Skim the text first β Read quickly to understand the main idea.
Scan for keywords β Use the questions to help you find answers in the text.
Learn to recognise synonyms β IELTS often uses different words that mean the same thing.
Answer from the text only β Donβt use your own knowledge.
Watch the clock β Spend no more than 20 minutes per passage.
Use elimination β Cross out wrong answers to find the right one.
β Practice regularly and try to read in English every day.
